Internet SIG, September 2017, Useful Web Sites – Mine and Yours?

June 23rd, 2017
September 23, 2017
10:15 amto12:15 pm

I’ve fianlly switched where I keep my bookmarks to a site (non-Google, sasp!) I’ve known for a long time… but now with a Chrome extension, it’s much more useful.

PDFs are great for making documents look and print the same everywhere, but the price for a full editor is prohibitive.  There are a number of sites that make it easier than ever.

And…. I thought we might do a Q&A/sharing session.  If you have a site you find helpful, let us know and we’ll check it out.  And/or if you’re wondering if there is a site that can help you do something, ask.

And… we’ll brush up on what YouTube TV has to offer… since it’s in Austin now!!  While I likely won’t sign up for it (my wife can’t do without some channels!), I will do the free trial and have a full report/demo nect month.

All this and more tomorrow!

Back Up Your Computer:  Sometimes the unthinkable happens: Your computer fails and your programs and data are lost. The cause might be a computer virus, theft, hardware failure, lightning or operator error. Hardware is replaceable and programs can be reinstalled but your precious photos, videos, music, financial records, emails and other important documents may be lost forever–unless you took precautions to back them up beforehand. Some people haven’t backed up because they haven’t thought about it much, don’t know how or they think it’s too much hassle. But it’s actually fast, easy and crucial. Doing frequent backups rewards you with data security, self-confidence and worry-free computing. Come to this meeting and get a safety net for your computer and your valuable data.
