Tonight’s Meeting will begin with our NEW Google + Community at CCAustin.
Last month we had a round table discussion, but mostly hands on Training
Session for our attendees at our Mobile Wireless SIG, of how to use our NEW
CCofAustinTX Google + Community. Google + is growing quickly to become
The 2nd Biggest Social Meeting site, Facebook still being by far the largest
Community of users.
We have created a FREE account at Google, just for the purpose of having our
Own Google + Account. The Account Name or ID is= CCofAustinTX.
Within Google + we are Using a NEW Category just ADDED by Google called,
“Communities”. And this category has been sorely needed within Google +
since the beginning of Google + less than two years by Google.
Communities allows for the creation of just that a Special Name of your
“Community” Just for the purpose of containing a special Subject or Topic.
In our case the Subject is our Computer Club of Austin. Each SIG group and SIG
Leader can create a Sub-Community alongside our 1st Community created.

Two SIG’s have created Google + Communities so far, our Mobile Wireless SIG
and Internet SIG, and start of Linux SIG. ALL of these are contained within “Communities”.

Also at Topic Tonight is what devices New on the market are best for utilizing
the FUN and Usefullness of Social Networking.
