Computer Club Of Austin General Meeting [CCA], TUESDAY, 05/07/2013, 6:30 P.M.

May’s General Meeting Welcomes Dr. John Harrison;

‘The Impact of Technology on Your Life and That of Your Grandchildren’
I plan to cover my introduction to the Radio Shack TRS 80 with my son . Eventual appointment to position of Assoc. Provost at UNC…Chapel Hill, N.C. As head of all academic computing while Professor of Chemistry and Biology. Eventually appointed as Micro Soft Scholar and member of Micro Soft advisory board. Next position as Vice President of UNC 16 campus System with responsibility for all academic Computing. Then V.P. of MCNC. In Research Triangle Park. N.C. And the purchase of a Cray YMP… For the State of N.C. Long trip from my Radio Shack to where we are today. Will discuss teaching Seniors in Sage, Quest, Lamp, and Forum at U.T over the past 12 years.
