Restore Your Computer: Continuing last month’s discussion of computer backup, we’ll demonstrate how to use a rescue disk together with a backup image to restore your Windows operating system, application software and data to a new hard disk drive on your computer. It’ll run again exactly like it did the last time you backed it up. You’ll also see how to easily replace a failed hard disk drive on a laptop computer. Restoring your hard disk is one possible outcome of a diagnostic procedure you’ll want to use when your computer fails. (Usually, the fix is a lot less radical than a full Image restoration.) Come to this meeting and see how quick and easy it can be to get your computer back up and running after a catastrophic failure. Bonus: You’ll see how much faster your computer will run when you replace that mechanical hard disk drive with a fast solid state drive. (SSD)
